How to Price Your Items

  • Remember, you as the consignor get to set the price on your items, these are guidelines.  Generally,  you will want to price items at about 1/4 to 1/3 of their original retail price. Please remember that we have a $2 minimum,  so group items together that are not worth $2. Consider putting multiple items together (two shirts; a shirt and pants set).  Sets are typically a better value for the shopper and sell better then single items. A great question to ask yourself is, “What would I pay for this?”  And remember to price to sell.
  • Decide if you want to sell your items to be sold at the 50% Off Sale, 1/2 price is better than not selling your item at all.
  • Name Brand Items – Higher end items will bring in higher prices. Shoppers are looking for high end brands such as Gymboree, Janie & Jack, Hanna Andersson, Lilly Pulitzer, Ralph Lauren, etc.   Discount brands such as Carters, OshKosh, Old Navy, Target, etc are also popular brands, but will not earn as much. Special Boutique racks will be set up for the higher end  brands.
  • Large Outdoor Play Sets, Jogging Strollers Little Tykes, Step 2 Slides and Jungle Gyms are some of our best sellers and will typically sell for ½ to 2/3 of the original price if they are in excellent condition
  • Please do not consign items that are recalled or have a high lead content. Check your items at www.cpsc.gov and www.healthytoys.org for the latest information.
